SeaWell Announces Red Kite Energy as Regional Affiliate

Santa Barbara, CA – October 9th, 2024 - SeaWell LLC, an innovator of ocean-based desalination technology and Red Kite Energy Limited, consultants on clean energy and water systems, have joined to introduce floating desalination systems in Greece.  

“SeaWell is pleased to join with Red Kite Energy to offer SeaWell’s offshore desalination Buoys to help ease the extreme drought conditions now becoming a fact of life in Greece,” said Peter Stricker, SeaWell’s CEO.  Red Kite Co-founder, Dolan Hinch, added, “The partnership aims for deployment of SeaWell water systems in Greece, a vital region well suited to SeaWell’s technical and commercial water supply solutions.”

SeaWell is a product of the Ecomerit Technologies Lab, led by Jim Dehlsen, a pioneer of wind and marine renewable energy industries. Dehlsen describes SeaWell’s approach to desalination, saying, “As with wind turbines, SeaWell is based on modular, assembly-line-built systems, designed for water affordability and to be a benign presence in the ocean that can be quickly put into operation.”
